Book Features

Rita Marcalo currently features in the book 'Performing Nature: Explorations in Ecology and the Arts' (2006) by Gabriella Giannachi and Nigel Stewart. 'Three Steps on the Ladder While Waiting'

This was a York St. John University commission for Flight Effect Dance Company, which toured the north of England in the spring of 2006.

The work was written about as a blend of “odd characters… with elements from Marcalo’s snappy movement personality”, and Marcalo was considered a “strong purveyor of the dance theatre image” (The Leeds Guide).
